Hue welcomes 2.74 million visitors in 10 months (08/11/2016)

Over 2.74 million tourists visited the former Imperial City of Hue in central Thua Thien-Hue province in the first ten months of 2016, representing a year-on-year increase of 12 percent, so reports the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism yesterday.   

Hue is a major draw for national Vietnamese tourists, but its good to see some 900,000 international visitors visited too - a 3% increase over the same period of 2015.  Hue has close links to Chan May port from where many cruise ship passengers make the 90 minute journey to our 'Imperial City'.
